About Ray Shortell

Ray Shortell was raised in the Peoria, IL diocese where he served as an altar boy. He was pleased to bring his Mom to church in Louisville, KY when he made maps for a living, because Louisville introduced altar girls before the Pope had entirely approved, which his Mom wanted to be when she was younger. Ray also worked at the National Supercomputing center as a computer operator and currently supports hospital systems internationally as a programmer in MUMPS. Ray lives in Atlanta where he gratefully attended Alvin Frame’s Bible study at the Marietta Church of the Nazarene for some years. While in College earlier at the University of Illinois to become an engineer, a visiting missionary reassured Ray about Ray’s search for truth at the Baptist Student Union’s Intervarsity with the following words: Whatsoever things are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report, if there be any virtue, if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8
